Mostly we buy and sell postcards but we do deal in many other items especially if it has some social history behind it. Below you will see some items which are currently for sale which are perhaps not appropriate for EBay or items which have a real providence to them.

Edwardian Policeman Henry Bedford, Portsmouth. Personal Document dated 1904 including a Photograph, his whistle on it's original chain and also his truncheon.
You are looking at an old Police whistle with, "THE METROPOLITAN J. HUDSON & CO BARR ST. HOCKLEY BIRMINGHAM" stamped on it. Whistle has it's original chain and hook on it. There is some general wear and chrome missing in places but nothing serious. With this item also comes a photograph of the Policeman who owned it (actually a postcard which has been cut down). Picture is in good condition with general wear and also on the left side there is some slight damage from I presume tape which has been removed. Also included in this collection is the Borough Of Portsmouth Police document which confirms the policeman start date, leaving date and also a description of him. The Policeman was Henry Charles George Bedford, born 1879 who joined the Police in 1904 and retired in 1929. This is a really interesting document which is in good condition with some slight tears where it has been folded, nothing serious. Finally there is his truncheon which is in good condition with general wear as it has been well used and it still has it's original leather strap.
